Let’s talk upping our gift basket game in a major way, shall we?

Can we just go ahead and say it? GONE are the days of the traditional wicker gift baskets! There are so many specialized gift companies popping up all over the place with such elevated, chic, beautiful packaging, it honestly makes me wonder what we were ever doing gifting those Easter basket-looking cellophane-wrapped baskets filled with perishables (like, enough with the crackers and hot sauce) and the occasional poorly made stuffed animal.

I love a good Mule – it’s actually one of the cocktails I order the most when we we’re out – and I also love doing things with Thomas. We’ve been together more than 7 years now (since our second year of college! “awwww!”), so it’s safe to say we’ve been to our fair share of movies, lunches, dinners, walks, hikes, and all your other typical “date” activities.

We’ve been making an effort to do more things that connect us (bonus if it’s totally new to us!), like cooking a new recipe together, studying photography, writing songs, and anything else that gets our creative juices flowing (read: we are officially out of shows to Netflix and chill to).

Making a fancy schmancy cocktail to enjoy together was right up our alley, and  we even lucked out with a random 64 degree Saturday in January that allowed us to enjoy them over a little picnic. I tell you what, January was the month that never ended, so being outside in the sunshine cheersing with my babe was just what I needed to feel the love this Vday.

We love that we’ll get to enjoy most of our Thoughtfully gift for the rest of our lives. I mean, we ate the ginger candy right away, to be honest. Didn’t even make it to its rightful place as a cocktail garnish because it smelled that good and looked that authentic and high-end. This was not your typical gas station or grocery store gummy candy.

But the two mugs, the jigger, and the cocktail shaker are truly beautiful kitchenware pieces we have loved adding to our kitchen and look forward to using for years to come. The copper and glass are high-quality and designed with such an attention to detail. We love that we’ll always have the glassware and the memory we made together to share, and we can’t wait for our next adventure experience with Thoughtfully!

• Two Moscow Mule Mugs

• Matryoshka Jigger
• Bundaberg Ginger Beer (12.7oz)
• Moscow Mule Syrup (8.5oz)
• Candied Ginger (1.5oz)

What’s Missing?

• Ice (because it melts!)
• Vodka

That’s it!

Moscow Mule Tutorial:

• Using the matryoshka jigger, measure out 2 shots of vodka and 1 ounce mule syrup.
• Combine vodka, mule syrup, and 1 cup of ice in the shaker and shake vigorously.
• Pour into mug and combine with a half cup of the Bundaberg ginger beer.
• Garnish with ginger candy and enjoy!

Are we best friends yet?!

Hello, Beautiful!

I’m so excited to share tonight’s post with you because it’s about one of my favorite companies ever: Lazy One! A husband and wife team started this company in a 600 square-foot garage in Northern Utah, and today it’s grown to partner with countless recreational hot spots throughout the country.

If you’re a Southern girl like me, you’ve definitely seen Lazy One’s fun, whimsical designs in an adorable souvenir boutique somewhere while on vacay. I always love spotting Lazy One on my trips to Gatlinburg, Tennessee (goodness knows there have been too many of those to count and many more to come!) in tons of shops along the strip!

I love spotting Lazy One in gift stores anywhere I’m traveling because their designs remind me of home sweet home in Tennessee, the mountains, and my love for the endearing wildlife their designs always feature! That’s why Thomas and I were so excited when Lazy One sent us these matching adult onesie pajamas! It is honestly such a dream to get to work with a company that’s been so close to my heart growing up.

We had so much browsing through their website – which has so many incredible, “cheeky” designs. I honestly have always imagined having a family that wears matching pajamas on certain occasions, and Christmas is the perfect time of the year to turn to a classic company – while also supporting a fun, family business – for just that!

It was almost impossible to choose a style given that they definitely offer so much more than onesie pajamas – including the sweetest t-shirt and pants sleep sets! We just had to with the onesies, though, y’all . . . They were just so perfect for the holidays and way too cute to pass up! And if we thought it was hard to choose a Lazy One style, it was even harder to settle on a design, because let me tell ya, there are sooo many fun – and wild – designs to choose from!

I must say, ya’ll . . . I let Thomas pick the “Bear Bum” design, but we honestly both fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. I helped narrow it down to our final three favorites (I’m tellin’ ya, sooo. many. great. designs!) and I was beyond excited when Thomas said, “It’s gotta be ‘Bear Bums.’ That’s the one!” Soulmate status for the win because these babies turned out to be more comfortable, thick, and stretchy than we could’ve ever dreamed of!

I love that these onesie pajamas are fun and functional, I don’t even care if anyone thinks I look like a big baby, because guess what? I’m so darn warm, comfortable, and full of Christmas cheer that I can only assume you’re just jelly and need a pair yourself. ☺️ You do! Are we best friends yet?!

Hello, Beautiful!

I hope you’re as ready for some turkey, gravy, stuffing, and major cranberry sauce this Thursday as I am! Living. For. It! I can’t really say I’ve been particularly food conscious this month… yet I feel particularly ready for – and deserving of – all the food I plan to consume this Thanksgiving.

I hope you get to be with your family or friends for the holiday, and if you’re traveling, please be safe! We’re so lucky to spend this Thursday – Saturday with my mom, so I’ll be soaking up every second of this time with her.

My hubby Thomas always wakes up early to cook our turkey, it’s his thing and I love it. I handle the sides and mom brings the desserts, and I adore that element of tradition that we share. Real talk, Thomas’s turkey is incredible every year. He injects it with this Cajun butter and checks on it every 30 minutes, it’s my favorite. I’m ready.

Luckily for all of us I’ve found the perfect holiday dress that’s comfy, loose-fitting, and perfectly plaid so we can eat all the turkey – and then all the leftover turkey – that we want!

I love this dress because it’s got a classic black and white plaid pattern that’s dark and flattering with a fun good stitching accent for that holiday vibe! It honestly feels like wearing a big tshirt with some tights (or leggings, whatever you prefer). It’s the perfect outfit to look put-together for the holidays while feeling totally comfortable (well, as comfortable as your clothes can be) around your family!
